March PACE Character Trait is DILIGENCE

We are on the lookout for students who are displaying DILIGENCE.  "Diligence means persistence, dedication and hard work". Here are some ways to show diligence:
  • pay attention to details
  • ignore distractions and focus on your work
  • do a little each day to reach a goal
  • work hard even when it's tough

February PACE Character Trait is HONESTY

We are on the lookout for students who are displaying HONESTY.  Honesty means "Sincerity and reverence or love for the truth". Here are some ways to show honesty:
  • telling the truth based on what actually happened, based on facts and real things (not lying)
  • telling the whole truth, and not leaving out parts in order to hide something you know is wrong (lies of omission)
  • acting in a way that is truthful and doesn’t hide the truth or trick others (not deceiving)

January PACE Character Trait is FAIRNESS

We are on the lookout for students who are displaying FAIRNESS. Fairness means "treating people and ideas with justice and impartiality" Here are some ways to show fairness:
  • Take Turns.
  • Tell the truth.
  • Play by the rules.
  • Think about how your actions will affect others.
  • Listen to people with an open mind.
  • Don't blame others for your mistakes.
  • Don't take advantage of other people.

December PACE Character Trait is Caring

We are on the lookout for students who are displaying CARING. Caring means: "showing a genuine concern for the welfare of others and being a kind, supportive helper" Here are some ways to show respect:

  • give a person a compliment
  • help someone out
  • do a chore for your brother or sister
  • bring the mail in for you family 
  • tell your teacher how much you appreciate them
  • pick up garbage in your neighborhood

September PACE Character Trait is RESPECT

We are on the lookout for students who are displaying RESPECT. Respect is recognizing, considering and properly honoring the worth of one's self and others. Here are some ways to show respect:
 
  • Listen. That's why we have 2 ears and one mouth. Sometimes it's best to just use your ears and really listen to what another person is saying. Don't interrupt.
  • Serve. Doing kind deeds for others without asking for anything in return.
  • Be polite. Using your manners. Saying please and thank you. 
  • Show kindness. Be kind to anyone, anytime, anywhere. It's not always easy, especially when you have felt wronged. But kindness always wins. Remember the Golden Rule.
  • Agree to disagree. You won't always share the same opinions with others but you can respect their right to have that opinion.
